Kalang 2010

Situated in the picturesque Kalang Valley, the surrounding landscape is integral to the experience of the Watt House. A curved stone feature wall to the south delineates the living spaces which are arranged in a single loaded linear plan along a ridge, and are engaged with the northern views across the valley. The linear plan allows for cross ventilation and solar access to every room in the house, while the restrained material palette creates a complimentary backdrop to the display of the owners many artworks.
